Mikkel Hansen, who has been characterised several times as one of the greatest talents in Danish handball for many years, is leaving last season’s runners-up in the Danish championship, GOG Svendborg TGI for a three year contract with FC Barcelona.
Mikkel Hansen has played 7 internationals for Denmark so far. He also played in important part in GOG’s second place in their main round group in the Champions League last season.
And Barcelona got more reinforcement from GOG, as Swedish international Magnus Jernemyr – a strong line-player and an even stronger defender – is joining the Spanish top team after only one year with the Danes.

Larholm in AaB Håndbold

Sweden left bak Jonas Larholm decided to move from F.C. Barcelona to AaB Håndbold. This is a really good movement from AaB because Joachim Boldsen travelled in opposite direction- from Aab to Barcelona. “Jonas is a very intelligent player and a great reader of the game. Furthermore is he extremely good at scoring goals, and he has experience at the highest possible international level”, said AaB’s sports director Jan Larsen about Larholm, who is joining the Danish club after two years in Barcelona. The question is: is Larholm ready to replace Boldsen?

Muratovic is supposed to replace Lackovic!

Blazenko Lackovic (27) will leave SG Flensburg-Handewitt at the end of the season to play for HSV Hamburg in the future. The Croatian World champion will be substituted by Montenegrin Alan Muratovic (28), who comes from Valadolid.
It was planned earlier that Lackovic would leave the club in 2009, but the two clubs found a solution after Flensburg signed Muratovic last weekend in Spain.
The transfer fees have not been disclosed by either side as both players still had valid contracts with their clubs. Lackovic signs a contract with Hamburg until 2011; Muratovic will stay in Flensburg until 2012.
HSV sports director, Christian Fitzek, was glad that the change was made earlier than expected:
“We have another world class player in our team and now we know that we made an important step to improve for the next season and play on an international top level.”
Also SG’s director, Fynn Holpert, is happy to have found a substitute for Lackovic:
“We are sure to get a better player than the one we lost. It was good business.”
Manager Anders Dahl-Nielsen is impressed: “With Muratovic we can have the chance to come closer to the national and international top teams.”
Earlier also another Flensburg player, the Polish international Marcin Lijewski signed for Hamburg where he will play together with his brother, Krzysztof.

Filip in Rhein Neckar Lowen!

German Club Rhein Neckar Löwen has announced another spectacular transfer: Right winger Jan Filip from HSG Nordhorn will play for the Löwen for the next two seasons. Manager Bernd Rigterink from Nordhorn announced the transfer on Monday. The right winger had signed a contract until 2012 with Nordhorn but will nevertheless leave. “We have not progressed with our budget to the point that we can achieve all our players”, said Rigterink. The Czech national team player won the EHF-Cup with Nordhorn in the last season, and now he will play in the Champions League with the Rhein Neckar Löwen. “It appeals to me to play in the Champions League”, said Filip.

Boldsen in Barcelona!

Danish Playmaker Joachim Boldsen decided to move from F.C. Kopenhagen to F.C. Barcelona. This will be Boldsen’s first season in the Asobal League. His career as a top player developed in Germany, but more so in his native Denmark. He came to Barça from AaB Handbold, for whom he played only one season (2007/2008). Before that the Dane played for one of the major German League teams, Flensburg. From 2001 to 2007 the player delighted the German supporters. He also played for TV Grobswallstadt in Germany for two seasons (1999/01). This was after moving from GOG Svendborg Gudme, where he also played for two seasons (1997/99).
He’s a very able centre, in attack as well as in defence. His height (1.87m) and his weight (more than 100 kg) make him an aggressive player in attacking plays, a participative player with a powerful throw.

Peskov in Celjie!

25 year old national Russian Team Right Back Alexey Peskov decided to move from Chehovski Medvedi to Celjie Pivovarna Lasko. His contract ends in 2010.
